Floor Sound Insulation F-MUTE SYSTEM™ 23

F - MUTE SYSTEM™ 23 provides highly effective Soundproofing for floors which is suitable for both impact and airborne noise. Its sound insulation properties are guaranteed through the combination of dense board and elastic absorptive layers.

Traditional flooring systems give poor acoustic performance for both airborne and impact sound reduction. Timber and chipboard flooring materials are of low density and can create reverberant noise. Their permanent and rigid attachment to floor joists results in any noise transferring to the room below.

Decibel’s F - MUTE SYSTEM™ 23 consists of an extremely dense fibre board, known for its’ acoustic insulation performance. It is backed with a non-flammable and non- compressible acoustic foam, that isolates any impact noise from the sub-floor, ensuring both impact and airborne noise transmission is kept to a minimum. Decibel’s F - MUTE SYSTEM™ 23  performs significantly better than the requirements of Part E Building Regulations, making it ideal for new build, building conversions, and DIY soundproofing projects. Through the use of Finite Element Modelling (FEM) DECIBEL is able to ensure the quality and efficiency of our system. Independent and accredited acoustic laboratories have then tested DECIBEL’s MUTE range of products to provide actual acoustic performance and ensure high performance and quality.

The total thickness of this sound insulating system is 23 mm. Its design allows it to be installed over any type of existing floor structure (reinforced concrete, steel, or wooden flooring , laminate floors or parquet floors).
