In order to achieve supreme noise reduction from any penetrations within a soundproof enclosure (typically in processing equipment where material feed-through is required) DECIBEL has developed the CHOFF-KA silencer. The steel mechanism at the entrance of  the silencer reduces the silencer open area, significantly reducing noise transfer while still maintaining a feed-through for raw materials Steel is chosen over the traditional approach of heavy, dense rubber as steel provides better noise reduction thanks to its increased mass.
